Chapter 9

Dr. Hemlock suggested we get a home health aide to help my grandmother while I wasn't home. We interviewed several different companies and aides until we found Jessica Fields. Her personality was lovely and she seemed to really have a passion for taking care of people. She did her job well and grandma was very pleased with her. I felt comfortable leaving the house when I knew Jessica was there. She was in good hands.

Damen finally decided to take me to his house. I was excited to see where he spent his time away from me.
"Wow. A white picket fence?" I was shocked to see the fence.
"Yeah. What's wrong with it?"
"Just never pegged you to live in a house with a white picket fence and such a nicely manicured lawn."
"Don't let the completely normal outside fool you. Inside is a man's paradise."
We laughed all the way to his front door.

But as we reached the door Damen's mood did a complete 180. The laughter was cut short and the smile faded from his mouth.
A male stood there and from the look on Damen's face he wasn't to happy that he was there.
He was grungy looking. Someone you'd expect to see in a biker bar. He was attractive in a rough sort of way.
"You've been ignoring my calls Damen. That's not very nice." He spat the words at Damen.
"Jossten this is Scarlet."
"Oh. Nice to finally meet you Miss Scarlet." I offered my hand to him and he took it.
He planted a kiss on the top of it. His lips were rough and his stubbles scratched my skin.
"I've heard so much about you but unfortunetly Damen's decided to keep him all to himself. I can see why. Your beauty is captivating."
"Scarlet go inside. I'll be in, in a minute." I had never heard Damen so serious.
I didn't argue with him. The way he was acting scared me enough.

Inside I stopped byt the window and saw Damen immediatly blow up on the guy. I was intrigued by Jossten. He had been so nice to me but here Damen was being livid with him. I wondered what could have happened between the two of them to have caused Damen to tense up like he had. I watched them argue for a few minutes then began looking around Damen's living room.
I was curious about the place this being my first time here.

 

::Damen's POV::
"So what now she's more important than the pack?" Jossten spat. "You haven't shown up to our meetings in over a week now. How could you let a stupid human girl get in the way?"
I knew Jossten was pissed and maybe I shouldn't have skipped out on the meetings but with the way the meeting had gone the last time I was there I was pretty pissed myself. All of the pack members had ganged up on me and told me I needed to get rid of Scarlet.
She was a distraction and an unecessary risk to not just me but all of them. Atleast that's what they had said.
I didn't find Scarlet a risk. I trusted her. Sure I hadn't divulged my secrets to her. Mainly because I was afraid of her reaction. But I loved her. I couldn't get rid of her. And yes maybe that was selfish of me.
I knew the risks when I started seeing her. Honestly I didn't think our relationship would grow this fast. But it had, and I'm not backing out of it because they all think I should.

"Jossten I'm tired of your shit. You don't own me. No one does. I'm free to do and see who I want. Leave me the FUCK alone. She doesn't know anything about me or the pack. She's no risk and she's a wonderful distraction. I love her and nothing any of you do can stop me from seeing her. Tell that to the rest of them and leave me alone. I'll come back to the meetings when I know you'll all leave me alone about her."
With that off of my chest I dismissed him and headed inside.

"Who was that?" Scarlet asked once I was inside.
"Just a friend."
"Well in my honest opinon friends don't argue like that."
"It's none of your business." I snapped and immediatly regretted it.
The look on her face stung me. She was hurt.
I took a deep breath to try to settle my nerves.

"I'm sorry Scarlet. It's a long story one I don't want to get into now. We both are in disagreement about something and he's trying to control me."
I tucked in a lose strand and caressed her check softly. I felt like complete shit for snapping on her.
"It's ok. I'm sorry for being nosey. It really isn't any of my business."
I smiled softly. "Let's head upstairs and have a drink. I really need one."
She nodded her head and I took her hand and lead her upstairs and outside to the balcony.

::Scarlet's POV::
I watched as he poured us a couple of drinks. His balcony was amazing. He had a bar, a grill, and a hot tub. From what I've seen of his house it really is a man's paradise.

He handed me a drink and then gulped down about half of his. I took a few sips not wanting to get too buzzed. Amazingly the liquid went down my throat smoothly. The one thing I hated about alcohol was the strong over powering taste. This one didn't have that. I could see myself drinking glass after glass.
I saw the alcohol he poured into the glass and it probaly wouldn't be a good idea to drink more than one. The alcohol's were strong and I would probaly feel it after this drink.

"Wanna take a dip?" He said pointing to the hot tub. I nodded my head. We headed inside to change. I changed in the bathroom while he changed in his bedroom. After I was finished I headed back ouside and joined him in the hot tub.
He wrapped an arm around me and pulled me closer to him.
The water was relaxing. It helped work out the tenseness in my muscles. I felt like jello after about ten minutes. It was a nice feeling.

"Scarlet I love you."
It was completely out of nowhere. I had had strong feelings for him for awhile now and I wasn't completely sure he felt the same way. I was shocked and speechless.
I could see the hurt form in his eyes when I didn't say it back. I knew I felt the same way it was just all so sudden.
"I love you too Damen."
He grinned as he pulled me in for a kiss.

After about five minutes of making out he pulled away from me.
"I have to go out of town for a few days for work."
My heart fell. Spending several days away from him would kill me. Especially since we had just declared our love for each other.
"Oh. How long."
"About a week."
I knew he could see the disappointed written all over my face and I couldn't hide it.
"But I was wondering if you'd like to join me. It be a nice vacation. My work is putting me up in this beautiful resort. The room they've booked me is huge and I don't want to spend time in there alone."
There he went again shocking me.
"I'd love to. But I don't know if I can get off of work, and what about grandma. She's not in the best shape."
"I'm sure your boss will be ok. You've been working there for over a month and haven't taken a single day off yet. Gran will be ok. She has an aide now that'll take care of her. We can speak to Jessica and see if she'd like to pick up some extra shifts to help her while you're gone."
I thought it over. He was right. My boss had told me that if I needed time off she wouldn't have a problem with it. She was so grateful for all of the hardwork I had put in. I just didn't know if a whole week would be ok. Grandma would be fine with Jessica there so I shouldn't worry so much about her.
"Ok. I'll talk to my boss tomorrow first thing in the morning and Jessica when I come home tonight."
He smiled brightly and then we were back to making out.

The way he kissed me sent feelings through my body. Feelings that made me crave him. We had been seeing each other for several weeks now and I wanted to take our relationship to the next level. I could feel he wanted the same thing.

Without a single word we both got out of the hot tub and headed inside to his bedroom. We sat on his bed not caring if we were soaking the blankets. He began kissing me again this time with a lot more passion.
He grabbed my hand and placed it on top of his bulge. He manuvered my hand over him rubbing his hardness.
Before I knew it our clothes were off and lying on the floor next to the bed.

Damen laid me back and wrapped my legs around him. While caressing my boob he slowly entered me. I bit on my finger to prevent myself from gasping.
Yes I was a virgin. I had never wanted to give myself fully to any guy before I had meet Damen.
He grinned as he felt the tightness. He knew from the way I felt that I was a virgin. We stared into each others eyes as he began moving slowly.
At first it was painful. But it didn't take long before the pleasure consumed me. My mind was filled with bliss. We were lost in ecstasy together.
