Scarlet moves back to her hometown of Appaloosa Plains to her grandmothers house after a tragic car accident takes the lives of her mother and father.
She loves to garden and write. Before the accident she planned on going to college to become a writer. Maybe once her life settles down and becomes normal again she might continue with her dreams.
Scarlet got a lot of her looks from her fathers side of the family. She has the same blue eyes as her grandmother.

Agnes is Scarlet's grandmother. Agnes was scarlets father's mother.
She is a kind and sweet old lady but also hard and firm when she needs to be. She doesn't take to kindly to people who try to hurt the people she loves. She is retired and spends most of her time at home either painting or reading.
